Project Description

KILTERNAN

How do you compete with the beauty of the Irish countryside?

Design is as much about the immediate site as it is about the area surrounding it, so when Carragh and Murphy Sheanon were asked to provide a garden fit for the Wicklow Hills, it was always going to be a special project.

Making use of the surrounding landscape, this garden now appears to be a part of those rolling hills.
Sweeping lawns, borders filled with profusions of colour, hedge lines guiding the eye out to enjoy ever changing vistas. But all the while it is still clear the impact that Carragh have had here.

A gravel driveway leads to a perfectly proportionate parking bay. Granite cobble bands create a distinct pathway to the house where a simple threshold takes you over the final steps to the door.
There are many different elements at play but with Carragh’s expertise, it has been handled delicately enough to create the clients very own foot print and makes the house look right at home, even in the middle of the countryside.

A perfect fit, for the Garden of Ireland

“The attention to detail and quality of work done was excellent, indeed the granite paving was flawless”
